One of the most desireable summits of Senja, Mt Husfjell, starts literally right outside our property. A 3-4 hour hike takes you through 4 kilometers of various terrain to the top and rewards you with one of the most spectacular views of this island. The peak at 635 mas has a stunning panoramic view, to many peaks of Senja island, as well as glancing down at fjords like Steinfjord, Ersfjord and Bergsfjord. Far out west, you will even see Andøya, a part of Vesterålen. 

The hike is populare for "everyone", as it doesn`t need to challenge you with hundred of meters drop down in the ocean. But for those who dare, there are peaks and edges enough to make it tickle your nerves. 

The starting point is at the public parkinglot next to Skagi. You`ll find information of the hike there and the trail is well marked along the tour. 

Sommardalen point is also a popular stop after around 1,5 kilometers, which gives you a great view of the Husfjellet mountain itself, of Bergsfjord with it`s islands, white beaches and turqoise waters, as well as the stunning summits all around. In wintertime, when hiking on snowshoes, this hiking point might give you enough adventures for the day. 

Husfjellet is a like a diamond when it comes to midnightsun hikes or sunset hiking.
