Skagi Bed – self service in rooms and cottages
On Senja's rugged west coast, near Mt Husfjell and the fjord, your outdoor dreams awaits! Enjoy hiking, kayaking, rib tours, sea fishing, cycling, skitouring, and snowshoe hiking. Witness the mysterious Northern Lights from September to March, and the Midnight Sun in summer. Each season brings unique landscapes, colorful sunrises and sunsets and plenty of photogenic scenes.
Join safe guided excursions with Senja Wild (kayaking, hiking, skitouring, snowshoeing), Basecamp Senja (rib expeditions), and Senja Fjordcruise (sea fishing and fjord cruising). Rent bicycles, cycle wagons, paddle boards, wetsuits, kayak vests, towels, fishing rods, hiking poles, snowshoes, and more. Guests can borrow football and badminton equipment at no cost.
Skaland offers a variety of amenities, including a Joker shop, a fuel pump, an electric charging point, a campsite, a marina guest jetty, a secondhand store, and a museum of mining industry. It is located near popular attractions and viewpoints, and has friendly locals.
Room or Cottage – What to choose
Our self-service guesthouse has 6 rooms for 1-3 people and 2 cottages for 2-5 people. Payment by bank transfer (or bank card) and check-in by keybox.
Book a cottage if you need a kitchen. It includes a full kitchen, living room with terrace, bathroom, and two bedrooms. Perfect for couples, families, or small groups seeking space and privacy.
Guestrooms are available in two sizes and ideal if you don't need a kitchen. The corridor provides a fridge, microwave, kettle, plates, cups, and cutlery—sufficient for drinks or breakfast. Beverages and reantal equipment can be pre-ordered.
Both rooms and cottages come with beds made ready, towels, shampo and soap.
Guests can use the terrace at the front of the house, whenever the cafè is closed. Both rooms and cottages come with made beds and towels.
Flo bord & bar
From June 15th to August 15th 2025, breakfastbuffet can be purchased by preorder (NOK 200.- pp).
Our cafè, Flo bord & bar, has no set or daily opening hours. Through the year, there may occasionally be open café, barnights or public events. Groups and celebrations can send a request. Our Facebook page has updatet information.
Across the street you will find the Joker shop open 24/7 (24/6 in low season), where take-away pizza is available in their staffed hours. Pila Pub & Kultur offers drinks, meals and good vibes. Limited opening hours so check their Facebookpage. Nearby dining options include Camp Steinfjord (4 kilometers), Roalden Café, Mefjord Brygge, Hamn i Senja, Skreien Spiseri, and Senja by Heart.
Groups
Groups can request accommodation with full board. Private celebrations and events are available upon request.
Capacity
We offer a total of 21 beds or 10 single rooms, with baby cots and extra beds available. For groups, we can increase capacity by collaborating with nearby businesses.
Our restaurant, Flo Bord & Bar, seats 30 people inside, 35 at the bar, and 30 on the outdoor terrace. We can host dinner parties for up to 50 guests and casual events for up to 90 people.
